Material
Softshell fabric with a polyester exterior and weft stretch. It is bonded to a special fine-knit in extremely soft and compact polyester, which can ensure controlled air permeability and offers windproof properties and the utmost breathability. The TEFLON EcoElite™ (PFC FREE DWR) water-repellent coating offers protection from external moisture and rain: the fabric does not absorb water and dries quickly, even after numerous washes. The special water-repellent finish ensures the absence of fluorinated compounds that are harmful to the environment. PFC FREE CLOTHING. PFCs (perfluorocarbons) have been used for many years as Durable Water Repellent (DWR), surface treatments for outdoor clothing, equipment and footwear. This finish helps waterproof materials to repel water and impurities. Without this invisible shield, water and dirt would pass through the layers, creating a wet and damp feeling and drastically reducing comfort. A key element in the persistence of PFCs in the environment is the length of their chemical structure, or the number of carbon atoms within the structure. Historically, the outdoor clothing industries have used long-chain structured PFCs (referred to as C8"). In response to concerns about the environmental impact of PFCs
